Renewable energy sources are those that are obtained from natural sources that renew faster than they are consumed. These sources include solar light, wind, hydroelectric power, biomass, and geothermal energy. Unlike fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and gas, which take hundreds of millions of years to form, renewable energy sources are replenished continuously. Generating renewable energy produces significantly fewer emissions than burning fossil fuels. Additionally, renewable energy is a more sustainable and cleaner alternative to fossil fuels, and is often cheaper in most countries. It also creates three times more jobs than fossil fuels.
